What is IGRAMATICA?

IGRAMATICA is an enrichment program to enhance our kids’ maths skills and brain development with fun games. Using IGRAMATICA’s unique maths techniques with fun games, we shall train the major brain abilities of your children in a fun and lively way to prepare for your child’s future. There are two kinds of kids in our After School Maths Club: kids who love maths and kids who will love maths.

What makes IGRAMATICA different from other After school clubs?

IGRAMATICA offers a game based program and children have fun while learning. Our program will help your child to improve the 5 brain abilities, which are: attention, visual, memory, logic reasoning and speed. IGRAMATICA takes the mystery out of maths to turn your kid into a big thinker.

What are the advantages of IGRAMATICA program?

IGRAMATICA enhances our kids’ maths skills and brain development with fun games. Our program is designed for leading our children to be interested in maths. When children love maths, they are able to understand and retain what are taught to them easily and faster. They become more confident, happy and motivated to learn maths.

How can I make maths engaging? How do I help my kid love maths?

The best way to help your kid to love math is show him that he can play and enjoy math. Try to play different mathematical games, show him math videos, do puzzles, board games. How do you collect math manipulatives without feeling overwhelmed by “stuff”? Many regular household items make excellent math manipulatives and game props. For example, cups and spoons provide gradients; stairs can become a number line. Dedicate a box or a basket to math treasures (such as shells of different colours and shapes) and math tools (such as a ruler, a compass, and graph paper). This way, the kid can grab the manipulatives and start working right away.

What if different methods and mental techniques confuse my child?

Our curriculum is designed to make children understanding mathematics. Solving a problem by different methods can enhance a child to think more, understand the relationship between the numbers and operations deeply and finally improve child’s logic reasoning.

Can IGRAMATICA programs help to improve children school results?

The thing is that the school results come at the end of each process of learning. Brain abilities support the process of learning. Stronger brain abilities make learning easier for the children without negative stress. Good results being produced as part of the process of children having fun.

Does IGRAMATICA curriculum align with what my child is learning in school?

We cover most of the nursery and primary school maths curriculum.

Can we try a class before signing up?

Children are highly encouraged to come in and take a trial class before signing up. Call us to enroll in a FREE trial class.

What is so special about teaching maths by playing games?

There are many advantages of game based lesson. Children can improve 5 developing areas by playing games which are: social communication, language, emotional quotient, cognitive development and physical development. Besides, games can also enhance 5 major brain abilities: attention, visual, memory, logic reasoning and processing speed. By engaging children through the use of our game-based program, we are able to introduce challenging materials to our children while improving all those abilities.

What type of children is IGRAMATICA for?

IGRAMATICA is designed for children over 2 years old. We do not focus on any child’s particular weaknesses; we work to improve overall mathematical understanding.

My child is already strong in maths. How will IGRAMATICA benefit him?

Children who are already strong in maths will find our program challenging and stimulating. Since the program is designed for acceleration, kids will learn more ways to solve a maths problem.

Can young children understand the concept of negative numbers? How should I introduce it?

You can use the opposites to introduce the idea of negative numbers even to a baby. You can put toys on the “underwater elevator” in the bathtub, marking up levels over and under water. Toddlers are happy to play with “objects and anti-objects” that explode, eat, or otherwise cancel one another. For example, three hungry caterpillars can cancel two leaves, but one will stay hungry! In adult talk, -3+2=-1. Pegs (positive numbers) can cancel out holes (negative numbers). If you have three barefoot kids and five socks, how many feet will stay bare? In general, the answer to “Can young children understand the concept of... ?” is always “Yes!”

What is 5 + 5 Pillars of IGRAMATICA?

Children can improve 5 developing areas (5 Pillars) while playing games which are social communication, language, emotional quotient, cognitive development and physical development. Besides, games can also enhance 5 ( + 5 Pillars) major brain abilities which are attention, visual, memory, logic reasoning and processing speed. By combination of these 5+5 Pillars through the use of our game-based program, we are able to introduce challenging materials to our children while improving all those abilities.
